Randy Strauss is an unconventional business owner and entrepreneur. And that’s very good news for clients and his staff.

Randy has established himself as an industry leader and stocked his firm with a capable staff. Still, he likes to be involved at all levels. On a typical day you hear him on the phone advising a candidate on a resume. It wouldn’t be unusual to see him typing feverishly to sharpen a job description for a client who needs to fill an upper-level management position immediately.

As owner/founder and Managing Partner of StraussGroup, Randy is everywhere.

A graduate of Cornell (MRP) and Rutgers Universities (BS), his professional path began at General Electric Credit Corporation as a Regional Manager. Previous experience also included 12 years as an Executive Vice President at Paine Webber Mortgage and Columbia National Mortgage, Inc. Prior to pursuing his entrepreneurial aspirations, he served as Senior Vice President with M & T Bank.

StraussGroup is an independently-owned franchise of MRI (Management Recruiters International), the largest executive search firm in the world. His Western New York location ranks in the top 5% of over 1,000 MRI offices worldwide.

In 2004, Randy established another venture—SourceOne Professionals. This firm was launched, in large part, to service the interim staffing needs of key accounts with StraussGroup. A division of StraussGroup, Inc., SourceOne Professionals has evolved into a full-service temporary and permenant staffing organization primarily serving the health care, financial services and manufacturing industries in Western New York.

Randy is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Buffalo, a distinguished nationally recognized organization focused on community leadership and values.
